Poem

Happy the man, whose wish and care
A few paternal acres bound,
Content to breathe his native air,
In his own ground.

Whose heards with milk, whose fields with bread,
Whose flocks supply him with attire,
Whose trees in summer yield him shade,
In winter fire.

Blest! who can unconcern'dly find
Hours, days, and years slide away,
In health of body, peace of mind,
Quiet by day,

Sound sleep by night; study and ease
Together mix'd; sweet recreation,
And innocence, which most does please,
With meditation.

Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me tell;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lye.

Summery

"Ode om Solitude" is written by Alexander pope. Initially in the poem, the poet talks about lonely life of a farmer we think that the life of the farmer is unfortunate because he has to live in the farm away from the society but the poet considered the life of the society but the poet considered the life of the farmer to fortune one because farmer get the change to breath his '' native air '' and also get the opportunity to live in motherland.

The poet again emphasis on how lucky the farmer are in the second stanza. the poet says that farmers get to out broad from his owe field and '' looks like the farmer disattire. '' and during the summer if the sunlight annoys the farmer with its hits in the farms provides '' shades ''

Especially the society people consider solitude a course but Poe thinks that solitude is a '' bliss ''. As the explains in the third stanza to farmer can take pleasure of pure air and food and can stay close to nature which provides him the piece of mind while we the people have to struggle to lat to aims.
